45th Annual Firecracker Spectacular & 4th Annual Curtis Tennant Memorial Races

Saturday night, July 2nd, 2016 will be the 45th Annual Firecracker Spectacular and 4th Annual Curtis Tennant Memorial Races presented by Shamrock Bolt& screw Company.

With the weather looking to be around ten degrees cooler, the low 90's is way more bearable than last week's 98 degrees at race time.

Six classes of cars will be on hand competing in point racing action. These classes will include the Pure Stocks, the IMCA Stock Cars, the Super Stocks, the IMCA Sport Mods, the IMCA Modifieds and the USRA Modifieds.

In the Pure Stocks, defending class champion, Chris Perkins will be looking to make it three A Feature wins in a row. In the IMCA Sport Mods, veteran driver Ken McCarty will be going for a fourth win in a row. Brian Williams will be looking to repeat his last performance with another win in the USRA Modifieds. Tate Cole (IMCA Modified), Mike Wiseman (IMCA Stock Car) and Kyle Slader (Super Stock) will all also be looking to replicate their last on-track performance with another win.

Plus, after dark, there will be a huge fireworks salute to America's birthday set to patriotic music. Be sure to bring your cell phones and cameras as we love to share your videos of the fireworks and music!

This event is also the 4th Annual Curtis Tennant Memorial Races. Curtis was a long time racer and friend of many people who passed away a few years ago. The Firecracker Spectacular was always his favorite race so we honor his memory each time we have this event.

All of this fun and excitement will be at regular admission prices, too! Only $10 for adults and all kids 12 and under are FREE! Seniors, 65+, will only be $8 and all military, past or present, with proof of service, will get in FREE! (Limit one person per proof of service.)

Pit gates will swing open at 4 PM and the grandstands will open at 5 PM so you can get your favorite seat picked out early. The driver's meeting will be at 6 PM and hot laps are scheduled to start at 6:30 PM with pre-race ceremonies and racing to follow.

If that isn’t enough racing and fireworks for you, you can do it all again on Sunday night, July 3rd, 20016 at Crawford County Speedway, located a few miles north of Van Buren on AR 59. They will be having their big fireworks show and racing, sponsored by Tony's Tire Service with racing in all of their regular classes, too!

Two tracks, two nights, twice the cars and twice the fun!

We will see YOU this weekend!
