CANCELLED - Modster Mash - Episode 1: King of the Ring

CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN

Unfortunately, Mother Nature has won.
We are forced to CANCEL the Modster Mash - Episode 1: King of the Ring scheduled for the mighty Tri-State Speedway on Thursday, October 29th, 2020.
With rain over the last few days, rain overnight on Tuesday, rain continuing on Wednesday and forecasted to continue through at least noon on Thursday, there is no way to get the track prepared in time for this huge, naitonal event.
We are talking about a reschedule date with USRA and will see if the rest of the Modster Mash week happens. If all the three remaining races left on Friday at Lakeside for the 5th Annual Grant Junghans Memorial, Saturday at the 81 Speedway for the Mel Hambelton Ford Modified Spooktacular presented by Park City, and the Halloween Hangover at the Humboldt Speedway on Sunday the race for us will not be rescheduled.
If, for some reason, something happens with these other three events, it is possible that we may take over one of those nights. If that happens, we will definitely let everyone know ASAP.

50th Annual Points Championship Races Honoring Tillman Evans presented by HeyDibz.com

On September 26th, 2020 it will be time for the 50th Annual Points Championship Races Honoring Tillman Evans, presented by HeyDibz.com. at the mighty Tri-State Speedway!

Drivers in four classes have battled it out all season on the famous high banks in Pocola, OK to determine a single track champion in each class. There has been close competition and great racing in all of the classes this season, but there can only be one track champion per class.

This is how the points battle shape up coming into the last point night of the 2020 season:

In The Factory Stocks, Grant Davis (1) from Muldrow, OK leads Wesley Bourne (5) from Cameron, OK by only nine points. This championship will be decided by their A Feature finish. 77 cars have competed in the Factory Stocks this season.

In the Super Stocks, Muldrow, OK;s H Palmer (X-15) secured the point championship last weekend with his win and leads former track champion, Dylan Davlin (26D) from Shady Point, OK, by more than 100 points. 56 cars have competed in the Super Stocks this year.

In the USRA B-Mods, Cody King (510) from Fanshawe, OK, who's only been racing a few years and won his first ever A Feature this season, comes into this weekend with a 71 point advantage over Fort Smith, AR's Neil Johnston (17). The only way for a shuffle of the top two would be for King to not show up at the track and receive his 45 show up points as there is only about 50 points different in first and last place. If that happens and Johnston finishes 10th, or better, he'd take over the lead and win the championship. 101 drivers have competed in the USRA B-Mod class this year.

In the closest point battle, in recent memory, for the USRA Modifieds, Kyle Ledford (75) from Greenwood, AR leads multiple-time track champion, Lonnie Robins (33) from Alma, AR by only three points. A great point of interest here: The chassis that Kyle runs, an Xtreme, is built by Lonnie and are teammates. How's that for irony? With a maximum of five points between finishing positions, but averaging a little over two points between positions, the A Feature on Saturday night, in this class, will decide the point championship. 63 ISRA Modifieds have competed this season.

Where will you be this weekend? You better be at the mighty Tri-State Speedway where we'll officially crown four track champions in our 50th consecutive year of racing. Don't forget, we're on our fall start time schedule, which is one hour earlier than normal. Pits open at 4 PM and stand open at 5:30 PM. Hot laps hit the track at 6:30 PM with racing scheduled for 7 PM. Regular admission prices, too, for this weekend! Pits are $30 for adults and kids (6-12) are only $15. Stands are $10 for adults with kids 10 and under free, along with all military, past or present, with proof of service.

We'll see YOU there!
