Driver of the Week: Kayden Menasco

Kayden Menasco, a junior at Roland High School, has been chosen as Tri-State Speedway’s driver of the week of August 20 thru August 26, 2017.

Kayden began racing a Pure Stock in 2014 at the age of 13 for a half-season, and then he moved into an IMCA Sport Mod for the remainder of that season. He continued driving the sport mod until mid-season in 2016 when he converted his Sport Mod into an IMCA Modified for more challenging driving.

For the 2017 season, Menasco has been driving both the USRA and IMCA Modified classes in a car built by Larry Shaw Race Cars. With the help of his pit crew in changing the tires and the removal of the spoiler along with some very heated comments from Dad, he is able to qualify for both classes. Kayden has won five races in the 2017 season and is currently leading the points at Tri-State Speedway and the state points in the IMCA Modified class.

Kayden is the son of Nicole and Carey Menasco and has two sisters, Cara and Keely and one brother, Chance. He owes a lot to Tate Cole and William Gould for keeping him grounded and mentoring him during his short racing career. We appreciate his support of Tri-State Speedway and wish him continued growth in his racing career and many more wins.
